The Martinez Arts Association (MAA) promotes arts in the community not only by supporting established artists through the Martinez Art Gallery and a number of annual events, but also by supporting young, up-and-coming artists with scholarships and donations. Proceeds earned from various venues where association members show and sell their work then go toward scholarships for local youth interested in pursuing their arts education beyond high school. The benefits are for artists of all ages.
A recent addition to the program is funding made available for K-12 teachers to enable them to purchase art supplies. Teachers may submit their requests for donations to info@martinezarts.org with an explanation of their needs.
Art scholarship applications are reviewed in April and rewarded in May. Deadline for applications is March 31. Please send an email to info@martinezarts.org for consideration. Please submit in this email your art interests and goals. |
