Membership in the MAA is open to all who are interested in participating, appreciating, and/or observing the practice and process of creativity in all mediums, especially in the Martinez Community. Upon application for membership in any of the following levels, a candidate must submit payment of annual dues every January.

Active Member
These are those who wish to participate actively in MAA membership.
Associate Member
This is a special category for people who passively support the basic purpose of the Association.
Patron Member
A significant contributor confirmed by the Board of Directors and vote of the Active membership. Patron membership is open to individuals, organizations, businesses, and professionals providing a supportive interest in the aims and purposes of the Association.

MAA membership provides numerous opportunities for personal activity, social and artistic development, community involvement and enrichment, and artistic recognition and marketing.
Discounted Art Festival Booths and Venues
Active MAA members have many opportunities to display and sell their art within the community. Local events available include Art and Wine Strolls in downtown Martinez, Peddlers Fairs, Chalk Art street fair, SWAN day in March, our annual event Art in the Park with Music the third Sunday in August and many others including Plein Air at the Sunday Farmers Market.
Online Gallery
Members can display a thumbnail on the Online Gallery which will direct to a one page presentation of your information and artwork. This Online Gallery page allows members a promotion bio, contact information of their choice (phone #, email address and link to own website) and 5 images of their work, Updates are done quartely and jpg’s size must be submitted 400 vertical x 300 horizontal.

A co-op gallery in downtown Martinez. All current members of the Martinez Arts Association are invited to jury when openings are available.
