Ellen is a 25 year resident of Contra Costa County, who resides in Martinez.
 
She has practiced fabric crafting for many years including wearable art, home décor, clothing and quilts.
 
Her passion for fabrics and textures has inspired creativity in so many ways.  She has found that a simple project can have an intricate complex look; by the innovative use of color and pattern.

Recently she had selections on display at the Shakey Hand Gallery in Martinez,  Brentwood Fine Art Gallery, Union Bank, Sewing Machine Shop, Hillcrest Church Gallery, Martinez Harbormasters Office, County Supervisors Chambers  and the Dublin Art and Frame Shop. Currently she is showing at the Martinez Art Gallery.
 
In 2005, Ellen’s work was selected to be shown at the prestigious Walnut Creek Bedford Gallery, selected from 900 entries.  
 
She is a member of the Martinez Arts Association,  Valley Stitchers and Fiber Arts Guild, Contra Costa Quilters Guild and a Hospice Quilting Group.  

The favorite part of her work is to apply special techniques, embellishments and stitcheries that add dimension and movement to the piece.

Ellen has a small resale business for her work called Ms Ellie’s Efforts.
