Karen started designing beaded jewelry in 2003 through the painstaking, but highly effective process of trial and error. She thoroughly enjoys using colorful, light-catching beads. As a result, most of her pieces incorporate Crystalized™ Swarovski Elements, along with natural and dyed gemstone beads, dyed freshwater pearls, glass beads and sterling silver, gold-filled, pewter and quality silver and gold-plated findings.

Karen spent a year sharing her passion by instructing an Introduction to Beaded Jewelry class at Michael's Arts & Crafts.

She has been a member of the Martinez Arts Association since 2007, and enjoys participating in local Association-sponsored events.

Karen lives with her husband and their four-legged "kids" (three cats and an adorable Maltese dog) in Antioch, California. They are the extreme proud parents of a son who is currently serving in the United states Marines.
